Visual Brand Audit | Case Study

Overview
TeenSHARP is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preparing underrepresented students for top colleges and leadership roles. This visual audit centered on TeenSHARP’s social media presence, with supporting evaluations of the brand’s logo, typography, and color palette. Social media is TeenSHARP’s most public and frequently updated touchpoint, making it critical for brand recognition and audience engagement. The goal of the audit was to determine whether TeenSHARP’s visual identity is applied consistently across platforms and to recommend strategies for strengthening its digital storytelling.

Recommendations for the Future
TeenSHARP has made big strides by focusing more on student-centered photography and celebratory moments—this should remain the foundation of the brand’s Instagram. To elevate further:
Consistency in Photography – Standardize backgrounds, lighting, and framing for a more polished grid. Introduce light-branded overlays to unify varied photos.
Balanced Feed Design – Alternate between photography, branded quote/announcement templates, and reels to create a visually engaging rhythm.
Simplified Graphics – Use clean, bold text with clear hierarchy and white space to keep information mobile-friendly.
Micro-Stories in Captions – Pair photos with short narratives or quick facts (acceptances, scholarships, challenges overcome) to deepen impact.
Unified Brand Identity – Ensure logo placement, fonts, and colors are consistent across all posts, from casual reels to polished event promos.

Reflection
This audit showcases my ability to analyze, critique, and enhance an existing brand’s visual identity with actionable design solutions.
